John Z's and Deb's Mustang Page | ![]() |
Welcome To My Mustang Page I'm John Zaniewski, the Asphalt Technology Professor (we all need some place to drive our Mustangs, and Mustangs ride better on asphalt roads) at West Virginia University. I've owned Mustangs since 1972. My first was a 67 coupe 289 three speed. It was my only car until 1976 when I moved to Brazil. I bought my second Mustang in 1980 and it was my daily driver until 1991. I started a slow restoration that was interrupted by a move, lack of space, etc. In 2001 I lost this Mustang due to a house fire. For a couple of sad pictures, check out Disaster Mustang . After restoring the house, my WIFE started looking for a replacement Mustang. Stef had just posted her car for sale. Since I'd been following her progress through her great site. I knew the car had most of the features I was looking for - mild resto mod with a sound body. The wife and I struck a deal with Stef and on May 10 we flew to Portland then drove the car ~3000 miles back to Morgantown WV. For information about the car "Deja Blue" check out Stef's page. |

| Listing Site Updates May 19, 2002: The Mustang Adventure pages document our trip from Battle Ground, Washington to Morgantown WV. 3011 fun Mustang miles. December 29, 2003: Has it really been almost 2 years? Time flies. Added a What's New page that shows Deja at the paint shop and back home. Now need to reassemble and enjoy! |
Deja Blue with Stef, Dave and Deb. Deja Blue was mechanically restored by Stef Roberts and an occasional assistance from Dave (check Stef's site for the story). Deb is my lovely bride and copilot for the 3000 mile journey from the west coast to the east coast. Check out the photo pages for the details of the trip. |

Start with a PAW long block, port and polish heads, increase valve size add an Edelbrock performer package, roller rockers, and voila. |
