In the paint booth.

After "two weeks" of body shop time, that started in August and ended in December,

Deja has a couple of fresh coats of Gulfstream Aqua.

This is the original color, but it sure looks different from the faded paint.

I stripped the car, removed removeable pieces.

The painter

1) replaced the driver's quarter (he used fusor to glue the seam at the top  of the quarter to the car)

2) sanded the car to remove some scratch marks

3) did other minor ding repairs

4) painted all the small body colored parts and inside trunk

5) painted body epoxy primer, high build primer 2 coats, block sanded, another 2 coats and block sanding

5) hung doors, fenders, trunk deck, hood

6) applied body color and clear coat

7) color sanded

Over the "two week" period, the painter and a helper spent 204.5 hours, seems like a reasonable amount of time for the work!

No wonder two weeks of body shop time takes several months.

What's next?

Finally at home, delivered on a flat bed, need to install lights etc. to make road worthy!
